The College Registrar led the fresh students to take the matriculation oath and further presented them to the Principal of the college to officially matriculate them into Komenda College of Education.

In the opening of his  address, the Principal, Very Reverend Prof. Kwesi Nkum Wilson sung “This far by grace ” to express gratitude for a smooth admission process and the opportunity given to the fresh students to begin another phase in life.

"This occasion is significant as it allows students to formally pledge their commitments to the college," he remarked, encouraging them to take their academic responsibilities seriously and foster meaningful relationship with their peers.

Prof. Wilson acknowledged the challenges encountered during admissions, particularly the delay in  reporting to school due to last year’s CETAG industrial action. He commended the resilience of the students and revealed that the college had received 3,935 applications from qualified candidates but was only able to admit 493.

Reaffirming the college’s constant commitment to gender parity and equal opportunities, the Principal advised students to familiarize themselves with the student handbook, available on the college’s website, and adhere to all rules and regulations. He reiterated the institution’s zero tolerance for bullying, gambling, and sports betting, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.

Prof. Wilson also encouraged students to utilize the library and the Guidance and Counseling Unit. He introduced an initiative requiring students to dedicate two hours weekly to the college farm, aimed at instilling essential agricultural skills. He proudly noted that, last year, the college harvested 54 bags of maize to assist students’ feeding through this hands-on learning initiative from the college farm.

He further cautioned students on responsible social media use, emphasizing that "social media never forgets hence whatever you share today can be revisited tomorrow. “Use the social media positively ".

The principal also announced that the college’s affiliate university, Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), had granted full access to its online library system to Komenda College students.

Declaring the formal admission of the students, Prof. Wilson stated:
"By the power in me vested, I hereby matriculate you, admitting you to the privileges and responsibilities of the College, its departments, and halls of affiliation at Komenda College of Education."

Speaking on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor of AAMUSTED, Prof. Gilbert Owiah Sampson encouraged the students to make full use of the academic resources provided by the university. He assured them of AAMUSTED’s commitment to collaborating with the college to address students’ challenges and provide quality education aligned with the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program.

Prof. Sampson emphasized that teaching is not just a profession but a calling that requires dedication and commitment. He reiterated the importance of the online library system and urged students to maximize its benefits for academic success.

The ceremony concluded with a closing prayer and the national anthem, after which the College Registrar officially dissolved the assembly.
