The management of Komenda College of Education has conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of an 8-unit staff bungalow, aimed at providing housing for 12 families.

The project, which commenced with a sod-cutting ceremony on Monday, April 22, 2024, is fully funded by the internally generated funds of the college.

The college partnered with Tin-AN Constructions to bring this project to life. During the inspection, the CEO of Tin-AN Constructions, Mr. George Kofi Anderson, expressed his commitment to completing the project within the stipulated timeframe of 18 months.

"We are dedicated to delivering this project on schedule. Our team is working diligently to ensure that the bungalows are ready for occupancy as promised," Mr. Anderson assured.

Currently, the construction has progressed to the second floor, and the site is bustling with activity.

Speaking to the Site Engineer of Tin-AN Constructions, Mr. Mandela Osei, he stated, "Our primary goal is to finish this project on time to assist the college in resolving its accommodation issues. We are poised to ensure that the work is completed as expected within the specified timeframe."

The inspection team, led by the Bishop of the Methodist Church for the Cape Coast Diocese and the Council Chair of the college, Right Reverend Richardson Aboagye Andam, expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far.

He also expressed hopes that the project will be completed and commissioned on time as scheduled.

The Principal of the college, Very Rev. Prof. Kwesi Nkum Wilson, also noted, "This project is a significant milestone for us. Providing housing for our staff will not only improve their living conditions but also enhance their productivity and commitment to the college.”

He also expressed his excitement for the partnership with the construction company.

“We are pleased with the partnership with Tin-AN Constructions and their dedication to this project."

The bungalow, once completed, is expected to provide a comfortable living space for the college staff, thereby addressing the long-standing accommodation challenges faced by the college.
