After the launch of the 70th Anniversary of Komenda College of Education in November last year, the celebrations kick started with a float on Monday April 9th. The float team started from Elmina township around 1pm to create awareness in the municipal capital. The trailer arrived at the college premise around 3pm and cruised through to Kissi with lots of fanfare. Most students were decently dressed in their 70th Anniversary polo shirts. The Principal, vice, and most teaching and non-teaching staff were not left out of the fanfare. The college’s cadet corps, and other security personnel were present to ensure maximum security. Health care was massively catered for; the college’s Red Cross society showed up in their numbers all dressed up in their uniforms. On the arrival back to Assai land at 7pm, there was a bonfire right in the middle of the campus signifying the beginning of the celebrations. With the massive enthusiasm and participation witnessed in the float, there is no doubt that the 70th Anniversary celebrations is going to be MEGA.
